SELF TITLED DEBUT ALBUM SET FOR RELEASE SEPT 14
APPEARING AT KROQ’S EPICENTER TWENTY TEN FESTIVAL
IN FONTANA, CA ON SEPT 26
After twenty years of touring and releasing records with Pennywise, Jim Lindberg has started a new band straight out of Hermosa Beach. THE BLACK PACIFIC is a brand new band with a fresh line up and an album filled with ten powerful and heartfelt songs. Jim and the guys will be playing their first show on September 26 at KROQ’s Epicenter Twenty Ten festival in Fontana, CA. Their self titled debut album hits on September 14 on SideOneDummy Records.
Jim left Pennywise in 2009 and has been working on The Black Pacific ever since. He also penned a book in 2007 called Punk Rock Dad: No Rules, Just Real Life. They recently posted two new songs on their website. “The System” and “When it’s Over.”

Last time they were in San Diego, Rebelution had to cancel and reschedule their show due to illness. After returning, and looking a whole lot fresher, they put on an epic performance to a sold out crowd at the House of Blue downtown.
The night got started with Stranger taking the stage. They showed San Diegans why they have built a strong reggae following on the west coast. The B Foundation followed with an hour set which mixed laid-back melodies with some occasional punk tunes. The highlight of the set had to have been their cover of “Land Down Under” by Men at Work. There were two unfortunate incidents during B Foundation’s set in which a few people had to be thrown out for fighting. Other than that, they did exactly what they came to do… warm the crowd up for Rebelution.
Rebel came out strong, opening with an great version of “More than Ever”. They followed with some of their best songs from ‘Bright Side of Life’ including “bump, “out of control”, and “suffering”. They also hit all their best songs from ‘Courage to Grow’. After finishing their set, Eric Rachmany came back for an encore acoustic version of “Feeling Alright”, in which he was joined by the rest of the band members half way through the song. Of course Rebel finished with “Safe and Sound”. The crowd was rocking for almost the entire show, and Rebelution once again showed why they never disappoint live. They will be heading on an overseas tour to France next.

BAD RELIGION KICKS OFF 30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WITH SO-CAL TOUR
2010 marks the 30th anniversary of quintessential Los Angeles punk rock pioneers Bad Religion, and to kick off the yearlong celebration the band will perform music spanning their storied career at multiple-night shows at House of Blues in Los Angeles, Anaheim, San Diego and Las Vegas beginning March 17. The band also announces that they are currently writing new music with plans to head to the studio this spring and release their 15th studio album later this fall, culminating their anniversary celebration.
Formed in 1980 in the suburbs of Los Angeles by teenage friends; guitarist Brett Gurewitz, bassist Jay Bentley and singer Greg Graffin, with the additions of Greg Hetson (1984-Present), Brian Baker (1994-Present) and Brooks Wackerman (2001-Present), Bad Religion have become synonymous with intelligent and provocative West Coast punk rock and are considered one of the most influential and important bands in the genre. Over the past 3 decades the band has continually pushed social boundaries and questioned authority and beliefs armed only with propulsive guitars, charging drumbeats, thoughtful lyrics and an undying will to inspire and provoke anyone who will listen.
“The greatest feeling about this anniversary is that it is happening at all,” says Graffin. “I’m mostly uplifted by the fact that a vibrant and evolving punk scene still inspires young people all over the world. If Bad Religion somehow serves as a symbol for the lasting importance of punk, then I am satisfied beyond words by reaching this milestone.”
With 14 studio albums, countless worldwide tours and sold out shows, crossbusters tattooed, stitched and worn globally and a universal community of fans among other accolades, Bad Religion have earned their spot in punk rock history and will continue the celebration of their distinguished career with extensive touring, new website, exclusive merchandise, surprise releases and a new album in 2010.

South Bay punk pioneers Pennywise have announced that Zoli Teglas of Orange County’s Ignite, is the band’s new and permanent lead singer.
After months of searching, the members of Pennywise announced that Ignite vocalist Zoli Teglas is now officially the new front man. Teglas, a longtime friend and tour mate, recently played a handful of So Cal shows with Pennywise, including the 2009 Smokeout Festival and a sold out Holiday Benefit concert for Amnesty International at Long Beach Arena.
Teglas will join Pennywise on its upcoming European tour which kicks off this April. That tour will be preceded by a few warm up West Coast dates that start on March 17 in San Diego, CA. Pennywise is currently at work on a new record, its first featuring the new lineup.
After the sudden departure of former singer Jim Lindberg, a member of Pennywise for 19 years, guitarist Fletcher Dragge called Teglas a “natural choice” to take over vocal duties for the band.
Bassist Randy Bradbury explains, “What started out as a temporary position was just too good to put an end to. Zoli brings to the table a tremendous vocal ability, creativity, and a die hard work ethic. There is a bond that makes this change feel like it was simply meant to be, and considering the recent unfortunate events, having Zoli join the band is a well needed shot of positive energy.”

Punk Rock Bowling, the biggest punk rock party of the year, is once again taking over Sin City. This year’s stellar lineup includes Flogging Molly, NOFX, Fucked Up, Swinging Utters, The Revival Tour, Youth Brigade, Cobra Skulls, and Teenage Bottlerocket with many more bands to be announced soon.
Featuring an all ages outdoor amphitheatre as well as a 21+ indoor lounge for late night shows, you won’t have to work to have a good time. The hugely popular Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament is back to kick off the weekend as well as an expanded music program over a 3-day span in Las Vegas. The entire hotel has been blocked out for event attendees along with additional rooms at surrounding hotels. Book your hotel and register your bowling team at the PunkRockBowling.com site.
Zoli Teglas of Ignite was named the interim singer for Pennywise who is scheduled to play the Smoke Out Festival on October 24th in San Bernardino, CA. Teglas will be taking the place of long time Pennywise singer Jim Lindberg who retired his post less than a month ago. Pennywise will join Cypress Hill, Deftones, Slipknot, Method Man and Redman and others in the festival hosted by Cheech and Chong. Making a return after a 6 year hiatus, the festival is also noted for being the first reunion show for Sublime since losing singer Bradley Nowell to heroin overdose in 1996.
